How this works (the dummy version)

Make a free account, pick a look, type some words, drop in pictures (we host them), then copy a blob of secret code and paste it into eBay. You do not need to understand the code. If you can copy a coupon code, you can do this.

1 Pick a look

Tap a color theme and a layout. That is the costume your ad will wear.

2 Type your words

Title, price, why it is cool. Type like you are texting a friend. No fancy writing required.

3 Drag pictures

Sign in, then drop photos. Each one gets a public https://ebayadmaker.com/i/… link so eBay can actually see them.

4 Copy the HTML

Smash the yellow Copy my eBay HTML button. Do not read the code. Just copy it.

5 Paste on eBay

On your listing, click HTML (or </>), then paste. This is the only “tricky” part. Pictures of it are below.

How to paste this onto an eBay listing

eBay has a secret code door on the description box. You have to open that door before you paste. If you paste into the normal box, buyers see gobbledygook.

  1. Open eBay.com, sign in, then Sell → Create listing (or Seller Hub → Listings → Create listing).
  2. Do the boring eBay stuff first: title, category, and the regular photo uploader at the top. Those top photos are what shoppers see in search. Do not skip them. This tool only dresses up the description.
  3. Scroll down to the big box called Item description.
  4. Look at the little toolbar above that box (bold, italic, and so on). On the right, click the button that says HTML or looks like </>. The box flips from “pretty words” into “secret code.”
  5. Click inside the code box. Select everything (Ctrl+A on Windows, Cmd+A on a Mac) and delete it.
  6. Paste your ad: Ctrl+V or Cmd+V.
  7. Click HTML / </> again to flip back. You should now see your fancy ad, not a wall of code.
  8. Finish price, shipping, and publish. You are a listing genius.

If the listing looks empty or shows raw code to buyers, you pasted into the normal box instead of HTML mode. Undo, click HTML, paste again.

Pictures: sign in, drop them, we host them, then you paste

Dragging a photo from your computer onto the yellow box (or this page) is how you add it. Click the box to pick files, or paste from the clipboard (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V). First picture = the giant hero. ↑ ↓ reorders. × takes it out of this ad (the hosted file stays until you delete it on My pictures).

eBay cannot use a file that lives only on your computer. After you sign in, we upload each drop and give it a public address like https://ebayadmaker.com/i/…. That link is what goes into the copied HTML. When a buyer opens your listing, eBay fetches the picture from us.

We host the photos so eBay can see them. That uses disk, so free accounts get a small pile (10 pictures or 25 MB, 30 days). Pay if you need more / longer. Making and copying an ad stays free.

You can design a preview while logged out. Copying the HTML for eBay needs an account, because that is how the pictures stay online.

Copy/paste does not wipe hosted photos. Free files older than 30 days get tossed unless you upgrade. Deleting a hosted photo later can blank any live listing that uses that link.
